Hello, my name is Christopher Els. I do special effects for loacl commercial haunted houses in the Los Angeles area. I was wondering what the specs are on the Real D format and what video servers are compatible?

Hi Christopher:

The specs for Real-D format are:

Shooting at 24fps

Projection at 144 fps (24 fps x2 sides L&Rx 3 flashing)

2K Resolution (2048x1080 pxs.) But I heard that 1080p could work also (1920x1080 pxs.)

For servers, any that currently works with Digital Cinema projectors like Christie, Barco etc.

Christopher, Ceaser has it right, as far as server are concerned, it depends on the

content formatting....some cannot handle Jpeg2000 for a dual stream signal...

so it really depends on how it is formatted.
