Hi there
I saw my first RealD movie recently (Journey to the center of the Earth) and I was very impressed with the quality and comfort of the image.
The only short-coming I could see was the color reproduction - the red component of the image was very weak which gave the movie a very cool tint. ('cool' as in the temperature, not hipness ;-) ... it reminded me a little bit of NTSC television. (I live in South Africa which uses the PAL system)
Is this a known characteristic of RealD or was it merely a projection error in the theater I went to?
If it is a RealD characteristic, could you explain why? Is it an effect of polarisation?
thanks
D
